I’ve drooled over my neighbor’s violet roses for a long time and after many color mixing experiments, I was able to recreate their unique color and wanted to share it with you. These are so special! The violet is not too red nor too blue (but if you look closely you might spot touches of blue). The background is a dark carbon black with a hint of deep brown. A lovely shine adds to the depth of color and textures.
Painted using palette knives and acrylic paints on a cradled birch wood panel, there is a variety of textures, from more heavily layered paint to thinner layers that allow the wood grain to show through.
Bloom - Ocean Song 1 and 2 pair well together, or mix and match with other Midnight Garden paintings.
