Like the name suggests, I painted this on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Touches of olive against sky blue and California poppy orange in this loose and expressive abstract painting. At 1.5” deep, this painting looks great hung on the wall or displayed upright on a table or shelf.
Painted using palette knives and acrylic paints on a cradled birch wood panel, there is a variety of textures, from more heavily layered paint to thinner layers that allow the wood grain to show through.
